We’ve seen her hair platinum, caramel, pink, and of course jet black, but Kim Kardashian may have just ventured into a new region of the colour spectrum. The beauty mogul recently stepped out of celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton’s salon chair with long, blue-black waves that look like something straight out of a futuristic dominatrix ad.

Appleton shared the new look on Instagram, accompanied by the hashtag #yeezyseason8, which means the style may be a forecast of what’s to come for Kanye West’s new Yeezy line. Could her all-blue getup and matching hair colour be part of the latest modelling campaign for her husband’s brand?

The jury’s still out on whether her hair is real, but if we had to guess, we’d say this look is not the work of a wig, because Kardashian was wearing a similar length and style before these photos cropped up. That said, she could be wearing a temporary or semipermanent hair dye — it wouldn’t be her first time, after all.
