A blogger traveled across the world to recreate the iconic story of Beauty and the Beast.
Alison Teal spent months looking into the 16th-century story, snapping images and capturing footage similar to those shot in the now-famous movie.
‘We only had one day to capture the recreation photos at the castle and during the shoot a massive windstorm swept in and billowed under my huge hoop skirt which almost threw me off the castle wall into the moat! I felt like a true adventure princess on a mission to restore morals and magic to our world,’ Teal wrote on her blog, Alison’s Adventures.
‘As a one-woman show I wrote, produced, directed, edited and starred in the film,’ Teal said of her videos posted on her blog.
She also said she received the help of local photographers and cinematographers Frederic Amadu, Alex Voyer, Jacques Van As, and Emma Bourke, who offered their talents to help bring the film and photos to life.
According to Teal and a number of well-known records, the original beast was a man named Petrus Gonsalvus, who was born in Tenerife, the Canary Islands, in 1537.
Gonsalvus was reported to have had a condition since birth called hypertrichosis – aka Werewolf syndrome – where most of his body was covered in hair.

The classic Disney film was reimagined last year when Emma Watson (Belle) and Dan Stevens (the beast) starred in a live-action film that hit theaters in March 2017. Teal is pictured during the scene when Belle discovers the beast’s rose
