Halloween makeup on Instagram is gloriously extra and we are in awe

Pennywise the Dancing Clown I finally had a chance to work on this look yesterday. As soon as I saw this scene in the new IT, I knew I had to paint it This took many hours to do, but I think it may be the best I have ever done @klmsfx posted a similar look a little while ago before I even had the chance to do mine lol. But I don’t think I could top her version. She used prosthetics, which took it to a whole other level Go check out her work! You won’t be disappointed I hope to one day use actual high grade water activated face paints with paint brushes, liquid latex, and prosthetics. I think it will take my hobby to a whole new level because I will be able to get so much more detailed than I currently can with the materials I use. I did this look using Ben Nye eye shadow, Kat von D Vampira lipstick, NYX waterproof white eyeshadow base paint pot, nyx shadows, and liquid eye liner. Anyways, I was so excited to post this. We can all agree that Instagram makeup artists are on a completely different level than us mere mortals. Despite watching endless makeup tutorials on clown contouring, baking, and five-minute faces, most of us can’t make our winged eyeliner match on any given day.

But when it comes to Halloween, the makeup gurus blow it right out of the water. Halloween seems to unleash their creativity as they mix face paint, makeup, props, cotton balls, tape and everything else they can get their hands on, to create the perfect scary looks.

The popular look this year seems to be clown makeup after ‘It’ brought scary clowns back with Pennywise. But he’s not the only clown that is popularly featured on social media. Others are The Joker and Harley Quinn, scary Ronald MacDonald, and ‘Gangsta clown.’
