Cosmetics Plus Website Terms of Service & In-Store Service Waiver

1. General
1.1 These Terms apply to your use of the Cosmetics Plus website, online services, and any in-store services including body and ear piercings, jewellery changes, consultations, styling services, and other treatments (“Services”).
1.2 By using our website, booking, or receiving Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using our website or Services immediately.
1.3 Cosmetics Plus reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted online. Please check regularly.
2. Eligibility
2.1 You must be of legal age to consent to the Services in your state or territory.
2.2 Minors require a parent or legal guardian to consent prior to receiving Services. Guardians must provide accurate information and valid ID.
2.3 Cosmetics Plus may refuse Services to anyone who provides false information, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or displays aggressive or unsafe behaviour.
3. Health & Safety
3.1 You must disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, or health concerns that could affect the safety or outcome of the Services.
3.2 Cosmetics Plus may require medical clearance from a healthcare professional before performing certain Services.
3.3 You acknowledge that Services carry inherent risks, including but not limited to pain, bleeding, swelling, infection, scarring, allergic reactions, and nerve sensitivity. You voluntarily accept these risks.
3.4 You confirm that you are not currently under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of receiving Services.
3.5 You confirm that you are not pregnant or breastfeeding, unless you have provided a valid medical certificate from a qualified doctor confirming that you are cleared to undergo the requested procedure.
3.6 You must disclose any known history of keloid scarring. Individuals with such a history are at increased risk of abnormal scar formation. Cosmetics Plus accepts no liability for any such outcomes.
3.7 Piercing procedures carry inherent health risks including but not limited to infection, allergic reaction, scarring, and nerve sensitivity. Cosmetics Plus accepts no liability for any health complications arising from the procedure.
4. Client Acknowledgements
4.1 You confirm that you have had the opportunity to ask questions prior to receiving Services and are satisfied with the responses given.
4.2 Filming or photography of any procedure is not permitted without prior written approval from Cosmetics Plus staff.
4.3 All information you provide is true and correct. Cosmetics Plus accepts no liability for complications arising from undisclosed or inaccurate health information.
5. Bookings & Cancellations
5.1 A $10 deposit is required to secure all online standard piercing bookings.
5.2 If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please contact the store at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule. Your deposit may be transferred to the new appointment date.
5.3 Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend without prior notice, will result in the deposit being forfeited.
6. Appointments & Identification
6.1 A valid photo ID may be required to verify your age and identity.
6.2 Services may be rescheduled or refused if you arrive under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or if you exhibit unsafe or inappropriate behaviour.
6.3 Emergency services may be called in the event of injury. You are responsible for any costs associated with emergency care.
7. Aftercare
7.1 Proper aftercare is essential to minimise complications and promote healing.
7.2 Cosmetics Plus provides aftercare instructions specific to the Services received. Following these instructions is your responsibility.
7.3 Healing times vary depending on the Service and individual factors.
7.4 You should seek medical advice if complications arise. Cosmetics Plus is not liable for issues caused by improper aftercare.
8. Service Guarantee
8.1 Cosmetics Plus strives for high-quality service but does not offer refunds on in-store Services.
8.2 Where applicable, follow-up appointments may be offered to correct placement issues or service errors, at the discretion of Cosmetics Plus.
9. Personal Information
9.1 Cosmetics Plus may collect personal information including name, contact details, date of birth, photo ID, and health information for the purpose of providing Services.
9.2 Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9.3 If you do not provide requested information, some Services may not be available.
10. Photographs & Marketing
10.1 Representatives may request your consent to photograph Services for marketing or training purposes.
10.2 By consenting, you grant Cosmetics Plus permission to use photos in print, digital, and social media materials without compensation.
10.3 Filming or photography of procedures by clients is not permitted without prior approval from Cosmetics Plus staff.
11. Liability
11.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cosmetics Plus is not responsible for loss or damage arising from Services, except where caused directly by Cosmetics Plus’ negligence.
11.2 You agree to indemnify Cosmetics Plus for any claims arising from your failure to follow these Terms or aftercare instructions.
11.3 Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under Australian consumer law.
12. Minors
12.1 Minors require a parent or legal guardian to provide consent prior to receiving Services.
12.2 Guardians must provide valid identification, ensure instructions are followed, and accept full responsibility for the minor’s care and compliance with these Terms.
12.3 Cosmetics Plus reserves the right to refuse Services if age or consent cannot be verified.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state or territory in Australia where Services are provided. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that state or territory.
