Looking after your piercing

What to do:
- Always wash your hands before cleaning your piercing.
- Days 1–14: Use Blue or Green 2EEZ Soothing Spray twice daily, spray directly and air dry.
- Day 15+: Switch to Red 2EEZ Saline Spray, twice daily, until fully healed.
- Showers are preferred during healing. Crust can be gently removed with water in the shower.
- Cover ears when using hair sprays. Keep hair away to prevent snagging.
- Wait at least 2 months before changing jewellery. Use only sterile, hypoallergenic pieces

What to avoid:
- Do not twist, rotate, turn or play with the jewellery.
- Avoid submerging in water for the first 2 weeks; pools, ocean, rivers, lakes and baths. Cover with a waterproof patch if
unavoidable.
- Ensure bath water does not contact the piercing.
- Avoid alcohol, hydrogen peroxide or harsh chemicals, because they slow healing.
- Avoid sleeping on the side of the newly pierced ear for the first few weeks.

What to do:
- For external piercings, always wash your hands before cleaning.
- Days 1–14 (external): Use Blue or Green 2EEZ Soothing Spray twice daily, spray directly and air dry.
- Day 15+ (external): Switch to Red 2EEZ Saline Spray, twice daily, until fully healed.
- Internal piercings: Use Orange 2EEZ Oral Spray, three times daily for first 14 days; after meals, drinks and smoking. Maximum 3
times daily.
- Maintain good oral hygiene and brush teeth twice daily.
- Cold drinks and ice help reduce swelling. Swelling may last 4–7 days.
- Return to Cosmetics Plus after 2 weeks for a check-up and downsize to smaller jewellery.

What to avoid:
- Do not twist, turn or play with the jewellery.
- Avoid Listerine or alcohol-based mouthwash; it disrupts the mouth's natural balance.
- Avoid dairy, spicy foods, caffeine, energy drinks, alcohol and smoking during healing.

Hips, Navel and Nipple

What to do:
- Always wash your hands before cleaning your piercing.
- Days 1–14: Use Blue or Green 2EEZ Soothing Spray twice daily, spray directly and air dry.
- Day 15+: Switch to Red 2EEZ Saline Spray, twice daily, until fully healed.
- Surface, Navel and Nipple: Clean twice daily while showering; gently wipe away crust buildup.
- Nipples, Navel and Surface: Keep covered with a sterile dressing for the first 24 hours.
- If balls sink into skin due to swelling, return to the clinic for longer jewellery

What to avoid:
- Do not twist, turn, rotate or play with the jewellery.
- Bruising and skin discolouration may occur; this is normal, especially if bleeding occurs

What to do:
- Always wash your hands before cleaning your piercing.
- First 48 hours: Wear a firmly placed patch or dressing to keep pressure on the plate so it heals flat and flush with skin.
- Days 1–14: Use Blue or Green 2EEZ Soothing Spray twice daily, spray directly and air dry.
- Day 15+: Switch to Red 2EEZ Saline Spray, twice daily, until fully healed.
- While showering, gently wipe away any crust buildup. Avoid snagging on washcloths or sponges.
- If bruising occurs, re-apply a fresh firm patch or dressing for 24 hours.

What to avoid:
- Do not change, twist or move the jewellery for the first 3 months.
- Do not soak your implant under water

What to do:
- Always wash your hands before cleaning your piercing.
- If swimming is unavoidable in the first 2 weeks, cover with a waterproof patch and clean immediately after.

What to avoid:
- Avoid makeup, tanning products and moisturisers near the piercing until healed (approx. 5-cent piece diameter).
- Avoid swimming for the first 2 weeks.
- Avoid bumping, sleeping on or playing with your new piercing.
